WELCOME
Welcome to Ramsgate Recovery House, where you can begin your journey to recovery in a clean, safe and supportive home among peers with the same goal.
ABOUT RAMSGATE HOUSE
At Ramsgate, we know that every recovery journey is different. We help residents ease their way back to normal life by giving them the freedom to come and go as they wish, while maintaining a foundation of rules and responsibilities. We offer a clean facility in a remodeled grand historic home with a huge screened-in porch on a beautiful quiet street, a block from downtown Norfolk.

We work with probation to to serve the post-release supervision population in addition to those who simply seek to lead a clean life in a sober living community. We help residents to get oriented to the services they need, including food and clothing, transportation, healthcare and 12-Step Recovery Meetings. New residents are introduced to the other residents in the house who will show them around the community.

THE STORY OF RAMSGATE HARBOR
Ramsgate is a small harbor town off the coast of England that is known as a "Harbor of Refuge"following a violent storm in 1748. During the Napoleonic wars, British troops were quartered at Ramsgate before embarking for the continent. During World War II at the famous Battle of Dunkirk the "Little Ships" set out from small ports such as Ramsgate, sailed by ordinary civilian seaman in boats of all sizes to rescue the soldiers facing certain death by the German Air Forces at Dunkirk.
Ramsgate Recovery House is a place of rescue, fellowship and solace for those seeking refuge from the invading enemy of addiction in their lives, which seeks to destroy them . Our houses are places where men can encourage and support one another, socialize and dine together, go to recovery meetings together and help keep each other accountable.
"We do not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it. "
